Bleeding Numb-skull(jaw the be exact)
Still no Internet at the new place so here I am on my laptop at The End cafe on Commercial Drive just a block away from the Broadway Skytrain station sipping on a soy chai llatte that honestly has a bitter after taste(cost me $5 :cussing: ). Last few weeks have been interesting and eventful to say the least. The couple my parents sold their home to recently had a tragedy occur in their family resulting in the husband passing away while on the skytrain due to a weak heart. The one good thing that came out of that was the fact that the life insurance company paid off what was remaining on the townhouses mortgage and covered funeral costs. I took his daughter Elisabeth who is going to UBC to a showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show last saturday to help get her mind off her father(Not a great movie for the purpose intended but I feel we had fun regardless). Next day was the Sun Run which I had been training for for a while by jogging through Invergarry park getting in a bit of interval training. Made 47 minutes on the 10k run which is shitty in comparison to Tanner's 43 minutes. During the work week last week both my supervisors left due to personal reasons putting myself in charge of a fifteen person crew. Surprisingly it was an extremely slack week of connecting up the odd dishwasher or oven then just sitting back in the trailer taking inventory or the odd delivery(sometimes just chatting on MSN but if I'm ever confronted about it I'll just denie). I also have another girl coming onto my finishing crew starting Monday making it three female Electricians now, the most I've ever worked with on a construction site. I'm told shes quite a looker but rather psycho. I'll decide that for myself I suppose. Another person that I was not expecting who started working with me is Jessica Martins father Mark who I had not recognized but he seemed to remember me. He's a drywall er now and he still teases me the way he did when I lived down the block shouting the occasional gay joke down the corridor or his usual saying when he's pissed off "I'm gunna open up a can of creamed corn on your ass boy!".
Yesterday I got four of my wisdom teeth removed at the Surrey Central Dental Clinic which gave me a fair amount of pre-anxiety but when I was in the procedure I was pretty calm. Took about an hour for the oral surgery to be complete. First three teeth came out pretty quick but the last one took a while and came out with a crunching sound. Soon as the numbness applied wore off I spent the next six hours bleeding with drool from my mouth and in pain from the last tooth taken out. Been eating baby food, pudding, Campbell's soup & Tylenol three's since. Hoping I'll be back to normal for work tomorrow. Now I have a slight idea of how Adrian felt while he was in the hospital(How I long for solid food!). Attending my second wedding this year on April 27th so I've got to get my tux drycleaned again today. Thats all that comes to mind as far as updates go so Ciao!.
