EP!C

I recently attended an environmentalist convention two Fridays ago known as EP!C which had been held at the Vancouver Trade Center(also known as The Pan Pacific Hotel). Upon arrival I was pleased to see an enormous trade show with hordes of energy conserving hippies hungry for information. There were many stands and demo's that did not interest me concerning sustainability(yoga, fashion/clothing, vegan diets, etc..) so I tended to be biased towards the electrical energy conservation themed side of the building(hybrid/electric cars, solar panels, wind turbines, geothermal heating systems, re-used recycled energy efficient building materials). I pretty much visited every stand they had in the facility, made a presence at a global warming seminar and just skytrained it back to Surrey afterwards. All in all, I think it was worth my $10 since it had gotten me motivated to start working on getting some experience in the installation of renewable electrical equipment.

BTW I GOT A NEW LAPTOP! Can I get a woot woot? No? Anyone? It's actually used(bought off craigslist.com- Great Site!) but it works splendidly & I've had no problems with it thus far. IBM Thinkpad- paid $300CDN came with adapter, wireless card, & mouse. General Specs 1.6 GHz, 40 gig HD, 14.1” screen, 2.5 metric kilograms & a battery life of roughly 1 hour. Not too shabby if I do say so myself!
