Busy Month
This month of April will be extremely hectic for me. First part of the month me parents will be moving from the old townhouse(two bedrooms-1500 sq ft) at 137th & 103rd into the new house they bought at 135th & 109th ave(four bedrooms-1900 sq ft-I think) in Surrey. Just gave the old man four grand as upfront payment of rent for the year to help with the financing of a new home. Second event on my suddenly busy schedule will be my Cousin Lisa's wedding to her fiancee Michael. It's been a while since I've been to a wedding and after watching “Wedding Crashers” a while back, I'm actually looking forward to it. Cousin Lisa and her brother Kevin recently bought some big expensive & very inefficient stucco East Indian built homes. Hope they don't go bankrupt in the process the way my parents had years back cause it may be a grind after those Olympics are over. Every ones wondering when that recessions going to hit putting the economy in a slump and that hot real estate market on much needed plateau. Third item, I've got to get my wisdom teeth removed since they have been bothering me so I will be getting that done all at once(4 molars) on a Saturday Morning under dad's medical benefits. Last big thing that I know of for the month of April is my drivers test which I really do not want to fail again. The first time I took it I barely had any driving experience and had no prior professional lessons. I've had a lot more time in the drivers seat recently and pay a whopping $50/hr to a former rock star turned driving instructor to show me the ropes on those potentially dangerous roads. I'm too old not to have a drivers licence!!!!!!!
BTW:
-I booked at BCIT for 2 years in advance for my third and fourth years of school during the winter season(I really do not want to work another winter outdoors Russian Accent BRRRR! Very Cold!). Cost me $400 for the booking and will cost a lot more when I actually pay the tuition.
-Found out that if I were not to attend school and work the full year, I would make more money than my father, approx $50,000+ CDN based on the YTD. Not something I want to reveal to co-workers. I'm still sort of dissatisfied with my life though so I know I'll never be “happy” working my job on salary no matter how much I earn. All in all I think I'm doing pretty well career wise and financially.
- Starting to read a lot again, mostly the classics(currently “Anna Karenina” by Tolstoy) and some books recommended by friends (such as “Eleanor Rigby by Douglas” Coupland-One of my new fav authors).
