Glad the holidays are over.
[Captains log 2216] I am glad the holidays are over and I am back in school. I cannot stand the excessive cheer that people insist on each other and it just reminds me of how anti-social I have become from all the moving around. Another good reason I have for my dislike of the holidays is that everything is closed and there is no work available. I am a workaholic and if I am not in school and getting vacation time I want to be filling my pockets with cheer from overtime hours and holiday pay for dawdling around high class hotels. For me, the holidays is a time of reflection, I sit on the couch and feel sorry for myself watching countless hours of CNN thinking "at least there are people worse off then me,"(I am only worse off compared to my SUPER RICH friends) when I could be productive and be making money.
But, I cant complain too much, I mean at least the weather here in Vancouver has been like spring compared to the rest of the country. I can wear a t-shirt in the winter and walk to the gym and I am not even cold. This is the first day of snow where I live and its now January the 6th(it might snow until march like it was last year). When we do get snow on the westcoast its only 3 inches except for on the surrounding mountains.
My mother recently bought a new Dodge minivan. I am a bit worried because I am not sure how much "emergency" money she has in the event that something bad happens and we need to fall back on a pile of dough. Its also bad because now my parents, like other parents, will be very stingy with money and I will nolonger be able to live and spend comfortably.****Anyways I got a ton of math homework to do in order to prep for provincial examinations in February. Cyanara!****
