Life getting more complicated

Life just keeps getting more complicated with every passing year. Its true. The reason, I believe this is because of the technology and knowledge that we amount which is constantly having to be passed down generation to generation. Think about it, long ago people were living in rural area's taking care of their crops and animals and they did not need a k-12(kindergarten to grade 12) education because their lives were simple and repetitive. Now, we students have to lay down at least 12 years of our lifes just to get a high school diploma. Even that wont get you anywhere unless you dish out a couple thousand dollars and years of your life just to finish up a post secondary education which might still leave you unemployed with empty pockets. What ever happened to childhood and why is it now taken away from kids so quickly? Why are we expected to mature so quickly? Teachers have been preparing and scaring me for the "real world" all my life telling kids like me that if they are losers in school then they shall be losers for the rest of their lives. How can they prepare kids for the real world when it seems like they have never actually been in it? They do elementary school, high school, post secondary, and then get right back into a school in a teaching position.
I just think that time flies by too fast now days and there is just not enough time to enjoy youth or life for that matter. Luckily for me I have found a place where I can relax and not have to clutter my mind with the knowledge of the world and the problems in my life. I have been working in a saw mill(getting quite nice pay for a person of my age) in a rural area away from all the inner city madness of stress and schedules and money. This place, for me is the only place that makes sense. Its just straight forward labor work with lumber but the surroundings are beautiful and the openness of it all is so relaxing and is not something you get in the city.

***at the moment I am really stressed to bone up on my logarithm skills for math and have to finish a big essay that is due tomorrow for English. Till next time!**

17th B-Day!

Its hard to image that 17 years ago I was introduced to this mixed up world . Time has been flying by for me and I still have memories of times when I so desperately wanted to be older so that I would have all the luxury's of being older such as working, responsibility, driving, and best of all finally being tall. Waking up this morning, I really did not expect to get anything special just because it was my birthday and I didn't get much this year as I thought. Usually what happens is my parents might throw me a very small family party at a Asian restaurant with my mothers side of the family and I would get lectured about how I need to get my marks up from average marks to straight A's (like all the other Asians) if I ever want to be able to get into British Columbia's top schools. I didn't even get a lameass family get together.
This year my dad snuck me $140 off his check a day before my birthday as a present but told me to keep it a secret. That ended up turning sour on me when my dad went out drinking and my mother found out (once again caught in the middle! lie for father for money but get yelled at until submitted to a insane asylum or don't take money and live in peace?). Later on I left the house in search of my dream monitor for my computer because I had one of those days where I felt like I had to treat myself to something nice. I had to measure out all the dimensions of the space in my vertical shelving unit at home and had a 17" flatscreen trinitron screen in mind. On the way to the mall I stopped by the gym to talk to the girls who worked there because they are always so kind so me and especially because I love the massaging chair and the magazines they've got laying around. While in the gym, I struck a conversation about my diet with a friend named Meireg, he is a middle aged man with a strong European accent and always seems to be enjoying life. After exchanging updates on each others well being he just happened to ask me if I was currently employed on the weekends and offered me a job starting at 12 dollars a hour in cash! He told me to start tomorrow @ 7am and I have the slightest clue as to what I will be doing.
***Anyways I am going to wrap this up with a quick happy ending. I left the gym feeling over joyed about my new employment and I bought my monitor which is a flatscreen 17 incher and took a taxi cab back home with the monitor which I am very satisfied with and it looks very sleek and even a tad sexy to the computer geek ;) ****
